High School Winter Sports Tryouts/First Practices Information
Cheerleading (grades 9-12) *TRYOUTS
Winter team tryouts will be held November 12th and 14th from 6:30 - 7:30pm in the HS Cafeteria. First night will be learning the cheer and dance. Second night will be the tryouts for the team. Please print out the Tryout Form found in the Winter Cheerleading Forms section and bring it with you on November 12th. Note that you must complete the appropriate PIAA forms (either entire PIAA form or just section 7 if you participated in a fall sport) and give them to the trainers after school. Impact testing will be November 7th in the Auxiliary Gym immediately after school. November 14th will be the makeup date. Practices will start the week of November 18th. The team cheers for both girls and boys basketball home games and any post-season for either team.
Girls Basketball (grades 9-12) *TRYOUTS
All 9th through 12th graders will tryout on 11/18, 11/19, 11/20 in the high school main gym from 2:30-5pm. After the third day the teams will be announced.
Boys Basketball (grades 9-12) *TRYOUTS
Tryouts for Boys Basketball will begin on November 18 for grades 9 thru 12. Tryouts will be from 5 PM to 7:30 PM in the high school gym. Please be sure to have your physical turned in to the Athletic trainers or the Athletic office. The physical form can be found on this site under Forms/Info. Also freshmen and juniors must complete the impact test if you did not play a fall sport or you are coming out for the first time. The Impact Test is after school on November 7th in the Auxiliary Gym. The Impact test form can also be found on this site under Forms/Info.
Swimming and Diving (grades 9-12) *FIRST PRACTICES
Practices the first week are 11/18-11/22 in the MS pool: 2:45-4:45pm for swimmers & 4:45-5:45pm for divers. Sat 11/23: 9-11am for swimmers and 11am-12pm for divers.
Wrestling (grades 9-12) *FIRST PRACTICES
Practices the first week are 11/18-11/22 2:30-4:40 in the AUX gym, and there is an away scrimmage at Governor Mifflin 11/23.
