The 2019-20 season is Coach Mellon's 12th season as the head coach of OJR girls Basketball team. Coach Mellon guided the Wildcats to a 19-7 record last season. That tied the school record for most wins in a single season. The Cats made it to the PAC playoffs, won their first round home district playoff game vs. Coatesville, lost their second round contest to the previous year's district champions Souderton, and lost in the playbacks to the eventual playback winners CB West.
Coach Mellon has also been an AAU coach for Fencor, the Collegeville Jags, and the Bucktown Bandits.
Coach Mellon is also the defensive coordinator for the varsity football team.
